In ages past, the Ali'i, or Hawaiian Royalty, took their pleasure in the beauty and abundance of the sparkling ocean. It gave forth a variety of fish, cool breezes, and the pounding surf that could be ridden with hand-crafted longboards. With careful stewardship of the land in segments that extended from the beach all the way to the emerald mountains, the Hawaiians lived in paradise for centuries.
